Digital Citizenship Month
Please join Homewood City Schools in celebrating Digital Citizenship Month by
attending a special presentation for parents on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 in
the Homewood Middle School Cafetorium at 6:00 pm. Our guest speaker will be
Ms. Monica Sheeler, Assistant Attorney General for the State of Alabama. Ms.
Sheeler will discuss the topics of internet safety, parental protections and
settings for devices, establishing guidelines at home for appropriate internet
use by students, navigating social media appropriately, cyberbullying, and
posting photos. Our hope is that parents will feel empowered to talk to their
students about digital citizenship after hearing this presentation.
