Social Media for Parents ~ January 14th

ALL IN MOUNTAIN BROOK is pleased to present SafeSmartSocial.com <http://safesmartsocial.com/> founder and national speaker, Josh Ochs, who will address social media safety and our youth. Topics include how social media can be used by our young people in positive and healthy ways such as impressing colleges and future employers. 

What: A social media safety talk detailing the latest apps and digital tools available to youth.

Who: Parents of our students, youth ministers, and others adults who work with teenagers.

Why: To help parents start a dialog with their kids about being smart on social media.

When: January 14th, 6:30p-8:00p

Girls Inc. of Central Alabama Program

Girls Inc. of Central Alabama's Eureka! Teen Achievement Program is open to all girls entering the 8th grade. Registration for the four-week summer camp begins in January. Duke University Summer Programs

If you are a student currently in grades 6, 7, or 8, you have the opportunity to have fun and enjoy personal enrichment classes with academically-motivated students from around the world in Duke University’s Honors Institute for Middle School Students. This international and elite program challenges young students to explore advances in technology to design robots or advances in forensic science to solve crimes. Students can also learn the science behind making new medicines and new developments in genetics. Online registration begins on December 1, 2015.
